AIDNACTION, INC. is a not for profit corporation domiciled in Nevada. The corporation was incorporated on April 5, 2007. There are currently 5 Board of Directors. (See the About Us page...)
The corporation was formed to meet a need. The individuals that make up the Board of Directors and others had traveled to Ghana, West Africa on mission trips with the Mesa Church of Christ. During Gary Heath’s second trip to Ghana, Comfort Mends approached Gary about her dream to establish a vocational school to teach young girls the skill of sewing. (See the Sewing Center page…)
Since education, vocational education, assistance to pay medical bills and prescriptions, disaster relief, emergency food assistance, and other humanitarian aid were outside of the Church’s scope of work for Mission funds, AIDNACTION was formed to help in these areas. We are not limited to work in Ghana, West Africa; however, with limited resources and funds the Board has not selected additional locations to provide assistance. Since Heriberto is fluent in the Spanish we have many opportunities to serve if resources permitted. With Steven Black joining the team, we look forward to more people knowing more about Aid N Action and what we do.
Our corporate logo communicates the helping hand that the organization aspires to give. It is not a hand reaching down or reaching up; but, one helping one another. We all need help is some area of our lives. Our work makes me thankful for flushing toilets and running water. Each day when I take a shower I thank God for all he provides me and my family. As President, I have received more from my working with those in Ghana than I ever could give.
